Terms of service

These terms apply to stores that install the Adornu app ("the app") from the Shopify App Store, and to shoppers who use the try-on in those stores. By installing or using the app you agree to them. Shopify's own terms also apply to your use of Shopify. Our data processing agreement is part of these terms and governs how we process personal data on your store's behalf; how we protect it is on our security page.

The service

The app lets shoppers upload a photo and see a product on themselves, as a picture made by AI. Try-on pictures are previews, not photographs: fit, size, colour and fabric can differ from the real product, and the picture can contain mistakes. They are not a promise about the product, and nothing in them should be relied on as a size or fit guarantee.

Acceptable use

You and your shoppers must not use the app to:

• upload photos of other people without their permission, or of anyone under 16;
• make sexual, violent, hateful, deceptive or otherwise unlawful images;
• impersonate someone, or present try-on pictures as real photographs of a person;
• overload, probe or work around the service's limits or security.

Images may be refused automatically, and we may suspend use that breaks these rules.

Stores' responsibilities

• Tell your shoppers about the try-on in your store's privacy policy and link to our privacy notice.
• Use the customer emails the app collects only as the shopper agreed: marketing only to those who ticked the box.
• Make sure you have the rights to the product images the app uses.

Fees

Fees are those agreed with you, or shown on the app's Shopify App Store listing and billed through Shopify. We will tell you before fees change.

Your content

Your product images and your shoppers' photos remain yours (or theirs). You allow us to process them only to provide the app, as described in the privacy notice. Try-on pictures may be used by you and your shoppers for personal and promotional use, subject to these terms.

Availability

We work to keep the app available and fast, but it is provided "as is" and may sometimes be slow, paused or unavailable. We may change or improve features over time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Adornu is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost sales, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end the service for a store that breaks these terms. After uninstall, your store's data is deleted as described in the privacy notice.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the new version is published here with a new date, and significant changes are announced in the app. Questions: hello@adornu.io.
